जिला सिरमौर में नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ पुलिस की कार्रवाई लगातार जारी है। इसी कड़ी में एसआईयू नाहन की टीम ने पुरुवाला पुल के पास कार्रवाई करते हुए एक युवक को 6.61 ग्राम चिट्टे (हेरोइन) के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी की पहचान अफजल उर्फ संजय निवासी मिश्रवाला, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ माजरा पुलिस थाना में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है! पुलिस से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, एसआईयू नाहन की टीम गश्त के दौरान पुरुवाला पुल के समीप मौजूद थी। इसी दौरान पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि अफजल उर्फ संजय कथित तौर पर माजरा, पांवटा साहिब और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में चिट्टा बेचने के कारोबार में संलिप्त है। सूचना के मुताबिक, आरोपी मोटरसाइकिल पर पुरुवाला की ओर आ रहा था और उसके पास मादक पदार्थ होने की आशंका थी। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम ने कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी की मोटरसाइकिल की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान उसके कब्जे से 6.61 ग्राम चिट्टा बरामद हुआ। इसके बाद पुलिस ने आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर आगामी जांच शुरू कर दी है। जांच में यह पता लगाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है कि आरोपी नशे की खेप कहां से लाया था और इस कारोबार में अन्य लोग भी शामिल हैं या नहीं। पुलिस का कहना है कि नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेगा।

As part of this ongoing effort, the SIU (Special Investigation Unit) team from Nahan conducted an operation near Puruwala Bridge and arrested a man in possession of 6.61 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin). The accused has been identified as Afzal, alias Sanjay, a resident of Mishrawala in Sirmaur district. The police have registered a case against him at the Majra Police Station under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act and have initiated an investigation. According to information provided by the police, the SIU Nahan team was on patrol near Puruwala Bridge when they received a tip-off that Afzal, alias Sanjay, was allegedly involved in the sale of 'Chitta' in Majra, Paonta Sahib, and surrounding areas. Acting on this information, the police team intercepted the accused, who was traveling on a motorcycle, and conducted a search. During the search, 6.61 grams of 'Chitta' were recovered from his possession. The police subsequently arrested the accused and have begun a thorough investigation. The probe aims to determine the source of the narcotics and whether other individuals are also involved in this illicit trade. The police have stated that their campaign against drug trafficking will continue.
