जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब के बातामंडी स्थित बालाजी कंपनी में दिवाली का शगुन लेने पहुंची एक किन्नर के साथ मारपीट का मामला सामने आया है। पीड़िता की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। पुलिस को दी शिकायत में वार्ड नंबर-9, देवीनगर निवासी ज्योति महंत ने बताया कि वह किन्नर समुदाय से संबंध रखती हैं और क्षेत्र में बधाई लेने का काम करती हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि वह पहले राजकुमारी महंत की शिष्या थीं, लेकिन बाद में उनसे अलग हो गईं। इसके बाद वह अपने शिष्यों के साथ अलग से क्षेत्र में शगुन और बधाई लेने लगीं। ज्योति महंत के अनुसार, वह अपने शिष्यों के साथ दिवाली का शगुन लेने के लिए बातामंडी स्थित बालाजी कंपनी पहुंची थीं। इसी दौरान राजकुमारी महंत अपने शिष्यों जस्सी और समीर निवासी छछरौली, हरियाणा, शहजाद उर्फ गेंदा और फुरकान निवासी हल्दरी सहित तीन अन्य किन्नरों के साथ वहां पहुंचीं। शिकायतकर्ता ने आरोप लगाया कि राजकुमारी महंत और उनके साथ आए लोगों ने उनके साथ मारपीट की। उन्होंने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि उन्हें लगातार धमकियां दिलवाई जा रही हैं। घटना के बाद उन्होंने पुलिस से शिकायत कर कार्रवाई की मांग की। पुलिस ने शिकायत के आधार पर मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले की जांच की जा रही है और शिकायत में लगाए गए आरोपों की सत्यता जांच के बाद स्पष्ट होगी।

An incident of assault has been reported involving a transgender person who had arrived at the Balaji Company in Bata Mandi, Paonta Sahib (Sirmaur district), to collect 'Diwali shagun'. Following a complaint filed by the victim, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. In her complaint, Jyoti Mahant—a resident of Devi Nagar (Ward No. 9)—stated that she belongs to the transgender community and earns her livelihood by offering blessings and collecting traditional festive offerings in the area. She explained that she was previously a disciple of Rajkumari Mahant but later parted ways, subsequently beginning to collect such offerings independently with her own group of disciples. According to Jyoti Mahant, she had arrived at the Balaji Company in Bata Mandi with her disciples to collect 'Diwali shagun'. At that time, Rajkumari Mahant arrived at the location accompanied by her own disciples—Jassi and Sameer (from Chhachhrauli, Haryana), as well as Shahzad (alias Genda) and Furkan (from Haldari)—along with three other transgender individuals. The complainant alleged that Rajkumari Mahant and her associates assaulted her. She further alleged that she is being subjected to persistent threats. Following the incident, she approached the police to lodge a complaint and demand action. The police have registered a case based on the complaint. Authorities stated that an investigation is underway, and the veracity of the allegations will be determined once the inquiry is complete.
