मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू के खिलाफ सोशल मीडिया पर की गई कथित अपमानजनक टिप्पणियों को लेकर जिला मुख्यालय नाहन में कांग्रेस लीगल सेल ने कड़ा रुख अख्तियार कर लिया है। वीरेंद्र पाल (मुख्य संयोजक, जिला सिरमौर कांग्रेस लीगल सेल एवं वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता) की अगुवाई में वकीलों के एक शिष्टमंडल ने पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) निश्चिंत सिंह नेगी से मुलाकात की। इस दौरान उन्होंने हाईकोर्ट के वकील विनय शर्मा के विरुद्ध भारतीय न्याय संहिता की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत एफआईआर (FIR) दर्ज करने की मांग को लेकर एक विस्तृत शिकायत पत्र सौंपा। शिकायत में आरोप लगाया गया है कि फेसबुक जैसे सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर मुख्यमंत्री और सरकार के वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारियों के खिलाफ लगातार अभद्र, अमर्यादित और डराने-धमकाने वाली भाषा का प्रयोग किया जा रहा है। लीगल सेल ने पुलिस प्रशासन से इन विवादित पोस्टों के डिजिटल सबूतों को तुरंत सुरक्षित करने और दोषी के खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई करने का आग्रह किया है। वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता वीरेंद्र पाल ने दो टूक शब्दों में कहा कि लोकतंत्र में नीतियों का विरोध करने का अधिकार सबको है, लेकिन मुख्यमंत्री जैसे संवैधानिक पद की गरिमा को ठेस पहुंचाना और व्यक्तिगत चरित्र हनन करना बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि कानून के दायरे से बाहर जाकर भाषा की मर्यादा लांघने वालों पर बिना किसी दबाव के निष्पक्ष कार्रवाई होनी चाहिए।इस अवसर पर शकील अहमद, करण चौहान, वसीम खान, अंशुल खान, विपिन ठाकुर और संजय थापा सहित भारी संख्या में स्थानीय अधिवक्ता उपस्थित रहे।

The Congress Legal Cell has adopted a firm stance regarding alleged derogatory comments made against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on social media. A delegation of lawyers, led by Virendra Pal (Chief Convener, Sirmaur District Congress Legal Cell and Senior Advocate), met with Superintendent of Police (SP) Nishchint Singh Negi. During the meeting, they submitted a detailed complaint demanding the registration of an FIR against High Court lawyer Vinay Sharma under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The complaint alleges that abusive, undignified, and intimidating language is consistently being used against the Chief Minister and senior government officials on social media platforms like Facebook. The Legal Cell has urged the police administration to immediately secure digital evidence of these controversial posts and take strict legal action against the offender. Senior Advocate Virendra Pal stated unequivocally that while everyone has the right to oppose policies in a democracy, undermining the dignity of a constitutional office like that of the Chief Minister and engaging in personal character assassination will not be tolerated. He emphasized that impartial action—free from any external pressure—must be taken against those who step outside the bounds of the law and violate the decorum of language. A large number of local lawyers, including Shakeel Ahmed, Karan Chauhan, Wasim Khan, Anshul Khan, Vipin Thakur, and Sanjay Thapa, were present on the occasion.
