ज़िला मुख्यालय नाहन के बिरोजा फैक्टरी के पास तेंदुए के हमले का एक सनसनीखेज मामला सामने आया है। सड़क किनारे पैराफिट पर बैठे एक युवक पर तेंदुआ हमला करने ही वाला था कि तभी वहां से गुज़र रहे अंजुमन इस्लामिया के अध्यक्ष बॉबी अहमद की सतर्कता और सूझबूझ से युवक की जान बाल-बाल बच गई। घटना के वक्त अंजुमन इस्लामिया के अध्यक्ष बॉबी अहमद अपनी पत्नी के साथ बाइक पर घूमने जा रहे थे। जैसे ही वह बिरोजा फैक्टरी के पास पहुँचे, उनकी नज़र पैराफिट पर बैठे एक युवक और उस पर हमला करने की फिराक में झाड़ियों में घात लगाए तेंदुए पर पड़ी। स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए बॉबी अहमद ने बिना समय गंवाए अपनी बाइक को तुरंत युवक और तेंदुए के बीच में खड़ा कर दिया और शोर मचाया। बाइक की रोशनी और अचानक हलचल से डरकर तेंदुआ नीचे नाले की और की तरफ छलांग लगाकर भाग गया। घटना के तुरंत बाद से विशेष बातचीत करते हुए बॉबी अहमद ने बताया कि नाहन से लेकर बिरोजा फैक्टरी तक के पूरे रास्ते में कहीं भी स्ट्रीट लाइट नहीं है। अंधेरा होने के कारण सड़क किनारे पैदल चलने वालों और बैठने वाले लोगों पर तेंदुए के हमले का खतरा बना हुआ है। उन्होंने पैदल आवाजाही करने वाले लोगों से अपील की है कि वे देर शाम या रात के समय इस मार्ग पर बेहद सतर्क होकर निकलें। गौरतलब है कि नाहन शहर और इसके आसपास के क्षेत्रों में तेंदुए की आवाजाही लगातार बढ़ रही है। हाल ही के दिनों में नौणी का बाग और उससे सटे इलाकों में भी स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा तेंदुए की चहलकदमी देखी गई है, जिससे पूरे क्षेत्र में दहशत का माहौल है।

A shocking incident involving a leopard attack has come to light near the Biroza Factory at the district headquarters, Nahan. A young man sitting on a roadside parapet was on the verge of being attacked by a leopard when the alertness and quick thinking of Bobby Ahmed—President of Anjuman-e-Islamia, who was passing by—saved his life. At the time of the incident, Bobby Ahmed was out for a ride on his motorcycle with his wife. As they reached the Biroza Factory, he spotted the young man sitting on the parapet and a leopard lying in wait in the bushes, poised to attack. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Bobby Ahmed wasted no time; he immediately positioned his motorcycle between the young man and the leopard and raised an alarm. Startled by the motorcycle's headlight and the sudden commotion, the leopard leapt down towards the ravine and fled. Speaking about the incident, Bobby Ahmed noted that there are no streetlights along the entire stretch from Nahan to the Biroza Factory. Due to the darkness, pedestrians and those sitting by the roadside remain at risk of leopard attacks. He urged pedestrians to exercise extreme caution while traveling along this route during late evening or night hours. It is worth noting that leopard sightings have been on the rise in Nahan town and its surrounding areas. Recently, locals have spotted leopards moving about in Nauni-ka-Bagh and adjacent areas, creating an atmosphere of panic across the region.
