राजकीय महाविद्यालय शिलाई, जिला सिरमौर (हि.प्र.) में 80वाँ स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह देशभक्ति, उत्साह एवं उल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के साथ हुआ। महाविद्यालय के कार्यवाहक प्राचार्य प्रो. गोपाल भारद्वाज ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया। इस अवसर पर PTA अध्यक्ष कुलदीप नेगी विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित रहे। ध्वजारोहण के उपरांत उपस्थित सभी प्राध्यापकों, कर्मचारियों एवं विद्यार्थियों ने राष्ट्रगान के माध्यम से राष्ट्र के प्रति सम्मान एवं समर्पण की भावना व्यक्त की। समारोह के दौरान NCC कैडेट्स, NSS स्वयंसेवकों तथा Rover & Ranger ने अनुशासन, सेवा-भाव एवं राष्ट्रभक्ति की भावना का परिचय देते हुए कार्यक्रम में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई। NCC कैडेट्स ने परेड एवं अनुशासित मार्च-पास्ट के माध्यम से समारोह की गरिमा बढ़ाई, जबकि NSS स्वयंसेवकों तथा Rover & Ranger ने विभिन्न व्यवस्थाओं में सहयोग प्रदान करते हुए सेवा एवं सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व का संदेश दिया।
इस अवसर पर कार्यवाहक प्राचार्य ने विद्यार्थियों एवं उपस्थितजनों को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए देश की स्वतंत्रता के लिए अपना सर्वस्व न्योछावर करने वाले स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के त्याग एवं बलिदान को स्मरण किया। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वतंत्रता हमारे लिए गौरव का विषय होने के साथ-साथ एक बड़ी जिम्मेदारी भी है। प्रत्येक नागरिक का कर्तव्य है कि वह राष्ट्र की एकता, अखंडता एवं संप्रभुता की रक्षा करते हुए देश के विकास में अपना योगदान दे। समारोह के दौरान महाविद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा देशभक्ति गीत, भाषण एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए गए। विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुतियों ने उपस्थितजनों में देशभक्ति की भावना का संचार किया तथा राष्ट्रीय एकता, अखंडता, भाईचारे एवं देशप्रेम का संदेश दिया। इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के प्राध्यापकगण, गैर-शिक्षक कर्मचारी, NCC कैडेट्स, NSS स्वयंसेवक, Rover & Ranger तथा विद्यार्थी उपस्थित रहे। पूरे महाविद्यालय परिसर में देशभक्ति एवं उत्साह का वातावरण बना रहा।कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी प्रतिभागियों एवं उपस्थितजनों का आभार व्यक्त किया गया। समारोह के समापन अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) स्वयंसेवकों के सहयोग से महाविद्यालय परिसर में पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किया गया। समारोह का समापन राष्ट्र के प्रति निष्ठा, एकता, अखंडता एवं समर्पण की भावना को सुदृढ़ करने के संकल्प के साथ हुआ।

The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held with patriotism, enthusiasm, and joy at Government College, Shillai, in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the college's officiating principal, Prof. Gopal Bhardwaj. PTA President Kuldeep Negi attended the event as the guest of honor. Following the flag hoisting, faculty members, staff, and students expressed their respect and dedication to the nation by singing the National Anthem. NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and Rovers & Rangers played an active role in the event, demonstrating discipline, a spirit of service, and patriotism. The NCC cadets enhanced the dignity of the occasion through a parade and a disciplined march-past, while NSS volunteers and Rovers & Rangers conveyed a message of service and social responsibility by assisting with various arrangements.
On this occasion, the officiating principal extended Independence Day greetings to the students and attendees and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who gave their all for the country's independence. He remarked that freedom is not only a matter of pride for us but also entails a significant responsibility. It is the duty of every citizen to contribute to the nation's development while safeguarding its unity, integrity, and sovereignty. During the ceremony, students presented patriotic songs, speeches, and cultural programs. These performances instilled a sense of patriotism among the audience and conveyed messages of national unity, integrity, brotherhood, and love for the country. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, Rovers & Rangers, and students were present at the event. The entire college campus was filled with an atmosphere of patriotism and enthusiasm. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants and attendees. A tree plantation drive was also organized on the college campus with the assistance of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers to mark the conclusion of the event. The ceremony ended with a pledge to strengthen the spirit of loyalty, unity, integrity, and dedication towards the nation.
