नशे के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत सिरमौर पुलिस की एसआईयू नाहन टीम ने पांवटा साहिब में कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को 3.61 ग्राम चिट्टा (हेरोइन) के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के खिलाफ पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस के अनुसार 25 सितंबर को एसआईयू नाहन की टीम पांवटा साहिब के रैनबैक्सी चौक के समीप गश्त पर मौजूद थी। इसी दौरान पुलिस टीम को सूचना मिली कि सैनवाला मुबारिकपुर, माजरा निवासी अनीश मोहम्मद उर्फ नीशू कथित तौर पर पांवटा साहिब, माजरा और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में चिट्टा/स्मैक बेचने का काम करता है। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम ने बताए गए मोटरसाइकिल नंबर HP17E-3122 को रोककर तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान आरोपी के कब्जे से कुल 3.61 ग्राम चिट्टा (हेरोइन) बरामद हुआ। पुलिस ने आरोपी को मौके पर गिरफ्तार कर लिया और उसके खिलाफ पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब में एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है। मामले में आगामी जांच जारी है। पुलिस नशे के कारोबार से जुड़े अन्य पहलुओं की भी जांच कर रही है।

As part of the ongoing campaign against drug abuse, the SIU Nahan team of the Sirmaur Police arrested an individual with 3.61 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin) in Paonta Sahib. A case has been registered against the accused at the Paonta Sahib Police Station under the NDPS Act. According to the police, the SIU Nahan team was on patrol near Ranbaxy Chowk in Paonta Sahib on September 25. During this time, the team received information that Anish Mohammad (alias Neeshu)—a resident of Sainwala Mubarakpur, Majra—was allegedly involved in selling 'Chitta'/smack in Paonta Sahib, Majra, and surrounding areas. Acting on this information, the police team intercepted a motorcycle (registration number HP17E-3122) and conducted a search. A total of 3.61 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin) was recovered from the accused's possession. The police arrested the accused on the spot and registered a case against him under the NDPS Act at the Paonta Sahib Police Station. Further investigation into the matter is underway, and the police are also examining other aspects related to the drug trade.
