जिला सिरमौर में नशे के कारोबार के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत SIU नाहन की पुलिस टीम ने पांवटा साहिब में दो व्यक्तियों को 11 नशीली शीशियों के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर आगामी जांच शुरू कर दी है। पुलिस से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, SIU नाहन की टीम भूपपुर टोल बैरियर पांवटा साहिब के पास गश्त पर मौजूद थी। इसी दौरान टीम को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि साहिल उर्फ गोलू पुत्र निसार और मोहसिन उर्फ शोहेब पुत्र यामिन, निवासी तिब्बती कॉलोनी, खेड़ा भूपपुर, कथित तौर पर पांवटा साहिब और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में कोडिनयुक्त नशीली शीशियों की बिक्री में संलिप्त हैं। सूचना के मुताबिक, दोनों आरोपी एक गाड़ी में हरबर्टपुर, उत्तराखंड की ओर से पांवटा साहिब आ रहे थे। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस टीम ने कार्रवाई करते हुए संबंधित वाहन को जांच के लिए रोका और तलाशी ली। इस दौरान दोनों आरोपियों के कब्जे से कुल 11 नशीली शीशियां बरामद की गईं। इसके बाद पुलिस ने दोनों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके खिलाफ पुलिस थाना पांवटा साहिब में NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया। पुलिस मामले की आगामी जांच कर रही है और बरामद नशीली शीशियों से जुड़े अन्य पहलुओं की भी पड़ताल की जा रही है।

As part of an ongoing campaign against the drug trade in Sirmaur district, the SIU (Special Investigation Unit) Nahan police team has arrested two individuals in Paonta Sahib in possession of 11 bottles of illicit, codeine-based substances. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act and have initiated further investigation. According to the police, the SIU Nahan team was on patrol near the Bhuppur toll barrier in Paonta Sahib when they received a tip-off. The information suggested that Sahil (alias Golu), son of Nisar, and Mohsin (alias Shoheb), son of Yamin—both residents of Tibetan Colony, Kheda Bhuppur—were allegedly involved in the sale of codeine-based illicit substances in Paonta Sahib and its surrounding areas. Acting on this intelligence, the police team intercepted a vehicle arriving in Paonta Sahib from the direction of Herbertpur, Uttarakhand. During the subsequent search, 11 bottles of the illicit substance were recovered from the possession of the two individuals. Both were arrested, and a case was registered against them at the Paonta Sahib Police Station under the NDPS Act. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter and are examining other aspects related to the recovered substances.
