Sabse Tez Khabar/Una
Two young men died following a violent collision between an HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) bus and a motorcycle near Krishna Nursery in Katauhar Khurd, located in the Amb area of Una district. The deceased have been identified as Yogesh Kumar and Aman Bhatia, both residents of Stothar in the Amb tehsil of Una district. The incident occurred on Tuesday night. The impact was so severe that the bus dragged the motorcycle across to the other side of the road. With the assistance of local residents, both men were transported to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Amb, where they were declared dead by the medical staff. In a complaint filed with the police, Ashish Kumar, a resident of Pratapnagar, stated that he was returning home on his scooter from his service station late at night when the collision took place between an HRTC bus—traveling from Una toward Amb—and a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. According to the complaint, the bus driver allegedly operated the vehicle negligently, resulting in the collision with the motorcycle. Upon receiving the information, the Amb police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. DSP (Amb) Anil Patial confirmed that a case has been registered against the bus driver, Bachittar Singh. On Wednesday, the bodies of the two men were handed over to their families following post-mortem examinations at the Regional Hospital in Una.
