Sabse Tez Khabar/Nahan
The Eco Club of Carmel Convent School, Nahan, organized a special awareness program at the Primary School in Purbia Mohalla. Around 60 students from Class 10 participated in the event, using street plays to raise awareness among young children about environmental conservation, road safety, and protection against stray animals. Through the street plays, the students conveyed messages about saving electricity, planting more trees, and conserving water in daily life. They emphasized that the responsible use of natural resources is everyone's duty and that significant contributions to environmental conservation can be made by adopting small, positive changes in habits. Practical advice on staying safe around stray animals was also provided during the program. Children were taught to exercise caution and move away safely when encountering stray animals like monkeys, dogs, and cows. Additionally, they were encouraged to look both ways before crossing the road and to follow traffic rules. The event was conducted under the leadership of Carmel Convent School Principal Sister Shiny, teachers Shelly Parmar, Chanda Thakur, and Priyanka, along with Physical Education teacher Gulshan Ahmed. Upon their arrival at GPS Purbia Mohalla, Headmistress Kiran Bala and JBT teacher Monica welcomed the team and commended the students for this initiative.
